STYLE SPECIFICS : Fifties (of the twentieth century). This type of jewelry is very specific for the fifties of the twenthieth century. All sorts of animals were used as source of inspiration for the goldsmiths. Made in gold and decorated with enamel and precious stones, the result of their labour most of the times well-made, clever and cute.

MATERIAL : 18K warm yellow gold and platinum, although most of this jewel is in a warm yellow gold, the diamonds are set in platinum. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold).
DIAMONDS : 33 old brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 1.63 crt. and 42 single brilliant cut diamonds (also called 8/8) with a total estimated weight of approx. 1.22 crt.
